How to design a simple watch with minimalistic elements that nevertheless has a strong personality, this is the kind of magic that Denis Guidone, the Milanese Designer, is talentuous for. In the Ora Lattea, the hands are represented by 2 points. A watch that in some ways recalls the image of the solar system. The biggest dot represents the hours, the smallest the minute, while the dot in the centre remains fixed.

Nava design is a Milanese brand which proposes the Nava Time line designed by Denis Guidone. Denis Guidone is involved with architecture, design and visual communication. his project process was born under the idea of subtraction, he follows the unification of opposite through a constant approach on the border between architecture and visual communication, at the same time mediated by an expressive research addressed to work on the basis of subtraction. Fascinated since the beginning by the rifor and thought of AG FRONZONI, with the passing of the time he develops a new rigor out of the rules.
La Ora Lattea, designed by Denis Guidone, is the most minimalist watch in Nava Design Collection. Leading the subtraction principle to its maximum, (What is not the watch), Denis has removed all what had no sense excepting reading time. It lasts only 2 dots that give us hours and minutes and a dot for the axle. The watch is white (Lattea) and the case black.
The case of the Ora Lattea watch is black, has a pure line and the leather strap is attached under it in continuity. The Nava Design logo is embossed on the right side, above the tuning dial that is also integrated in the case. Simple, pure.
La Ora Lattea has a Ø42mm that is very large for a design watch. The watch has a very nice presence on the wrist but its minimalist design equilibrate all.

CommentUne question concernant le traitement appliqué au boitier de la montre. Est ce seulement de la peinture ou un traiement PVD?
Car j'ai l'impression que même avec une utilisation sans chose ou usure, la couleur part facilement

CommentMontre commandé fin de semaine dernière et arrivé aujourd'hui! Je n'ai hélas pas pu la regarder longtemps (mon anniv' est pour le 1er Juillet et ma femme ne veut pas que je la porte avant) mais la qualité à l'air au rendez vous et elle est bien plus belle qu'en photo. Un achat qu'on ne regrette absolument pas!
CommentElle n'existe pas en fond noir en fait, Denis Guidone avait dû réalisé des prototypes mais elle n'a été produite qu'en fond blanc. Mais c'est clair que le noir lui irait bien
